One-Day Skill Acquisition Program for Teenagers

On August 06, 2025, the Kiwanis Club of Lagos Central, in partnership with He’s Alive Chapel – Vacation Bible School 2025, successfully organized a One-Day Skill Acquisition Program designed to empower teenagers with practical, hands-on skills.

The program offered training in Pastry Making, String Bag Making, and Photography, giving participants the opportunity to learn creative and useful skills that they can continue to build on in the future.

This initiative came at zero cost to the teenagers, making it accessible to all. Beyond keeping the young participants busy for the day, it engaged both their minds and hands, encouraging creativity, focus, and productivity.

The atmosphere was filled with excitement and enthusiasm as the teenagers actively participated in the different sessions. Many expressed joy at having learned something new that they could proudly showcase to their families and friends.

The collaboration between Kiwanis Club of Lagos Central and He’s Alive Chapel reflects a shared commitment to investing in the next generation, ensuring that young people not only grow in knowledge but also develop practical life skills that prepare them for the future.

This impactful program is one of many ways the Kiwanis Club continues to fulfill its mission of serving the children of the world by empowering youth, fostering creativity, and promoting community development.
